Children are 11 and 14 I've never been on a cruise is that we want it to be an experience. is approximately 8 days.

Well, if you have children, you want certainly a Carnival Cruise!
McDonald's are like cruise ships, it is all finished and ready to go cruising for a child friendly, unlike many other cruise lines, which are primarily for seniors.
A word of advice I give, that is the bigger boats better! Large ships are stable, there is more to do, and more fun for kids! So you try to be booked your cruise on the largest ships, small boats and avoid at all costs! Trust me, I've been there and done it, and small boats and suck!
