try to install the drivers that install fine, but do not use my sound card. Therefore, I features such as surround sound, EAX or Dolby Digital. I have my stereo speakers simple game mode. I use a 5.1 speaker setup.

Looks like you need a new card. If your card does not handle the drivers, there is not much you can do. Is this an old map?

Until a few months ago I had SoundBlaster Live 5.1 sound card in my PC. Because I had no CD to install the drivers, went to the site and no problem with the appropriate drivers. I installed it and my PC had a wonderful sound. I have version 5.1 of Logitech speakers plugged into my soundcard.
I understand that you have Sound Blaster Live 5.1 sound card. Otherwise, do not make sense to install the driver. XP is not required.
